Neurotoxin – Neurotoxins (Botox™, Xeomin™, Dysport™, Jeuveau™) are FDA approved neuromodulators that are strategically injected into targeted muscle groups to provide the effect of softening appearances of fine lines and wrinkles while preventing the occurrence of new ones. Neuromodulators are also used to help with other medical conditions such as bruxism (clenching), migraines, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). Toxins take an average of 7-14 days to take effect and generally peak at 6-8 weeks. With routine treatment every 12 weeks, patients will see an ongoing softening of their fine lines/wrinkles, often with a smoothing appearance of the skin as well.
